Extrinsic Motivation And Students’ Academic Achievement: A Correlational Study

The main objective of the study was to find out effect extrinsic motivation on academic achievement university-level undergraduate students. target population consisted 540 students studying in Natural and Social Sciences departments. A sufficient sample size 321 for taken, according research advisory table. Stratified random sampling technique used this study. Extrinsic Motivation Scale (EMS) developed collect data from sampled respondents. mean combine score EMS (Extrinsic Scale) found 2.52 indicating a low level motivation. these correlated with that 0.75, positive relationship between two variables. It is suggested provision motivational techniques should be continuously motivate at university order attain better achievement.
